Health Minister, Alex Katakwe, has announced a series of measures aimed at restoring efficiency and accountability at the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA).
Dr. Katakwe said government will not tolerate inefficiency, negligence, or any form of misconduct in the management of medicines and medical supplies.
Speaking in Lusaka, the Minister announced the revocation of the appointment of Keagan Mwape as (ZAMMSA) Board Member.
He also confirmed the suspension of several officials, including Justine Mulimo and Diana Musa.
Dr. Katakwe has since called for investigations into the suspended officers and assured the nation of continued and uninterrupted supply of medicines.
