Confusion Erupts at Mufulira Council Over Alleged Irregularities in Land Application Process

Confusion has erupted at the Mufulira Municipal Council following allegations of unfair handling of the land application process.
The council premises have been overwhelmed by residents seeking to apply for plots after a recent advertisement by the local authority.
Some applicants who spoke to Mafken News said the process initially appeared orderly, with a list of names for early arrivals intended to guide the sequence of applications.
However, they alleged that council officials later moved the list to offices on the upper floor where applications were being processed, creating confusion and reportedly giving an advantage to individuals who did not follow the established procedure.
The applicants have since expressed concern over the integrity and credibility of the process, calling on the council to ensure fairness and transparency.
Efforts to obtain a comment from the council authorities proved unsuccessful by broadcast time.
