The Alliance Against Corruption (AAC) has expressed support for the Anti-Corruption Commission’s (ACC) decision to drop the non-conviction based forfeiture case against former Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo’s Chamba Valley properties.
In an interview with Mafken news, AAC Executive Director, Dr. Noel Chisebe said the move demonstrates the ACC’s professionalism in handling complex cases.
Dr. Chisebe views this as part of the ongoing investigations and a demonstration of the ACC’s professionalism. He urged the public to avoid premature judgments and allow the ACC to inform the nation about the case in due time.
He emphasized that, this is a process founded on justice, accountability, and transparency, and not a weakness. The ACC had cited Lusambo’s wife, Nancy, Mukuka Mukonge, and ZDA-Henan Guoji Development Company as interested parties in the case.
The properties in question include a single-storey four-bedroom house, a guest wing, and an incomplete block of six flats.
