Infrastructure and Urban Development Minister Charles Milupi has issued a stern warning to contractors working on the Kalulushi-Lumpuma-Mukutuma road project to adhere to set standards and specifications.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony in Lufwanyama, Eng. Milupi expressed concern that some roads are developing cracks even before being handed over to the public. He described the situation as unacceptable and warned that the ministry will not tolerate substandard work.
The Minister emphasized the need for quality workmanship to ensure durability and value for money in infrastructure projects.
The Kalulushi-Lumpuma-Mukutuma road project is expected to be completed within 30 months at a cost of over K1.1 billion under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
