Kantanshi Tennis Club has made an impressive start at the Tournament of Heroes currently underway in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, winning all their opening matches.
The Mufulira-based side, composed of young and upcoming players, has delivered strong performances under the guidance of Coach Leevan Kaunda. Christerbel Chisongo recorded a dominant 6–1 victory in her opening match, while Isabel Chisongo secured a 6–3 win to advance to the semifinals.
The team’s positive start has generated excitement among supporters, with expectations high as the tournament progresses.
Speaking to Mafken Sports News in Lubumbashi, Coach Kaunda expressed confidence in his team’s chances of reaching the finals across all categories.
The Tournament of Heroes commenced on January 16 and is scheduled to conclude on January 19.
