Kitwe District Commissioner, Oncemore Ngonomo, has announced a significant reduction in crime levels in the district, attributing the development to intensified law enforcement operations.
Speaking in an interview with Mafken News, Mr. Ngonomo said the decline in criminal activities has been recorded over the past six months, following increased patrols and coordinated operations by law enforcement agencies.
He praised the Zambia Police Service for their commitment and professionalism in maintaining peace and security across the district.
Mr. Ngonomo further commended members of the public for their cooperation with security agencies, noting that community support has played a key role in the fight against crime.
He re-affirmed the district administration’s commitment to working closely with law enforcement and residents to sustain the improved security situation in Kitwe.
