Minister of Information and Media, Cornelius Mweetwa says government is committed to legislating free education as part of its broader reform agenda.
Speaking during a two-day workshop on election reporting organised by the Independent Broadcasting Authority in Choma, Mr. Mweetwa said the move reflects the commitment of Hakainde Hichilema to ensure free education is anchored in law.
He explained that Cabinet has already approved the introduction of the Parliamentary and Ministerial Code of Conduct (Review) Bill, 2026, which will be presented to Parliament as part of ongoing legislative reforms.
Mr. Mweetwa said the proposed reforms demonstrate government’s resolve to strengthen governance frameworks while delivering on key social policies.
