Police in Lusaka have apprehended a male suspect who was on the wanted list for multiple criminal offences, including burglary, theft, and assault occasioning bodily harm.
In a statement, Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi identified the suspect as Prince Kaumba, commonly known as Junior, an ex-convict. He was apprehended on February 20, 2026, around 16:00 hours in Garden Compound following a tip-off from members of the public.
Mr. Chilabi says several residents of Garden Compound and neighbouring communities had previously lodged complaints against the suspect in connection with earlier offences, adding that the arrest follows intensified efforts to track down individuals linked to rising criminal activities in the area.
He stated that the suspect is currently in police custody, pending formal charges, and has since appealed to anyone who may have fallen victim to him to report to Emmasdale Police Station to assist with ongoing investigations and possible additional charges.
