EFF President Kasonde Mwenda Among Trio Arrested for Conduct Likely to Cause a Breach of the Peace

Police in Lusaka Province have apprehended three individuals, including the President of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Party, Kasonde Mwenda, for Conduct Likely to Cause a Breach of the Peace.

The other two individuals arrested are Edina Ngoma and Mbale Suzyo, both residents of Lusaka.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on December 12, 2025, around 14:40 hours near the Parliament Building in Lusaka.

Lusaka Police Commanding Officer Lemekani Chirwa confirmed to mafken news that, the trio is currently in custody, awaiting formal charges and a court appearance.

Mr. Chirwa stated that the police action was taken to prevent a potential breach of the peace.
