CAAC slams 2025 anti-corruption fight

Community Action Against Corruption (CAAC) has described the 2025 fight against corruption as pathetic, arguing that the current efforts fall far short of public expectations.

Speaking to Mafken News, CAAC Executive Director Brightone Tembo disputed claims that the anti-corruption fight is progressing well, stating that the picture being painted by authorities is false and does not reflect the reality on the ground.

Mr Tembo further said the 2025 fight against corruption has been one-sided, noting that investigations involving some high-profile figures and ministries have not been followed up.

He urged authorities to intensify the fight against corruption, warning that continued mismanagement of public resources has negatively affected national development while leaving Zambians to suffer, adding that the current approach mirrors that of the PF regime.
