Commerce Minister Reaffirms Government’s Drive to Attract Strategic Investment with Local Partnerships

Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga has reiterated Zambia’s commitment to attracting investments that bring technology, skills, and capital into the country.
Speaking on the nation’s investment strategy, Mr. Mulenga said Government is offering incentives such as tax holidays and exemptions on capital equipment to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).
He emphasized that priority is being placed on partnerships and joint ventures with local businesses to ensure skills transfer, knowledge sharing, and sustainable development that directly benefits Zambians.
The Minister further reaffirmed Government’s commitment to creating a conducive business environment that supports both foreign and local investors, while promoting inclusive economic growth through strong local participation.
