People’s Pact Presidential Candidate, Dr. Fred M’membe, has called for genuine and compassionate leadership that places the needs of citizens at the centre of national development.
Speaking in Kitwe, Dr. M’membe said Zambia requires leaders grounded in the values of honesty, equity, humility, and solidarity in order to build a nation anchored on justice, peace, and social equity.
His remarks come as the country moves closer to the 2026 general elections, with Dr. M’membe urging citizens—particularly young people—to actively engage in shaping the nation’s future.
He emphasized that while the future belongs to all Zambians, the youth have a critical role to play in driving positive change and national transformation through participation in democratic processes.
Dr. M’membe, who is also the Socialist Party President, highlighted the importance of unity, stating that the nation is yearning for hope, which can only be realized through leaders who are willing to stand together for the common good.
