Kitwe District Commissioner – Oncemore Ngonomo

Kitwe District Commissioner Oncemore Ngonomo has revealed that the District is lagging behind in implementing the President’s directive to ensure no child sits on the floor in schools.

Speaking during a recent stakeholder orientation meeting on the Revised Cash for Work Program Mr. Ngonomo expressed frustration at the slow pace of progress, stressing that the presidential directive on classroom desks is clear and non-negotiable.

He directed councillors and officials responsible for Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to prioritize the procurement of desks, saying the issue should not be subject to debate.

Mr. Ngonomo called on stakeholders to work together to address the issue, saying it was unacceptable for leaders to discuss ambitious projects while children sat on the floor.
