Copperbelt Receives 185 Tones Of Rice Under DMMU Relief Repositioning Program

The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit on the Copperbelt Province has launched a relief repositioning initiative, aimed at enhancing disaster risk management in the province .

Speaking at the official flag- off of repositioning initiative of relief supplies, Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Lawrence Mwanza said the province has received 185 metric tones of rice, which will be distributed across its 10 districts.

Mr. Mwanza Noted that government is on top of things adding that such initiatives are a strategic move which is expected to improve response times, reduce costs and strengthen emergency preparedness in the province.
