Mufulira Town Clerk, Kasonde Musongole, has disclosed that the council has implemented several development projects, with more planned under the 2025 and 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) budgets.
Speaking to Mafken News during the handover of an ultrasound machine to Kamuchanga Hospital on Thursday, February 26, 2026, Mrs. Musongole revealed that a mortuary constructed under Mufulira Central Constituency is yet to be officially handed over. She added that another fully equipped modern mortuary is currently under construction in Kawama East, also funded through the CDF.
She further stated that an X-ray machine for Kamuchanga Hospital is being procured under the same CDF facility, aiming to enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality health services to Mufulira residents.
Mrs. Musongole attributed the successful implementation of these projects to President Hakainde Hichilema’s directive on the prudent use of the CDF and the government’s commitment to improving service delivery across all sectors.
