South African Safety Firm Expands to Zambia, Partners with Government on Occupational Health

Environmental Health and Safety Solutions has expanded its operations from South Africa to Zambia, partnering with Government and local stakeholders to help address regional environmental and occupational safety challenges.
The company’s Environmental Engineer, Edgar Lehobo, said a key objective of the partnership is to train a specialized group of occupational hygienists within Zambia.
He explained that building local expertise will enable the country to uphold high occupational health and safety standards while reducing reliance on foreign specialists.
Meanwhile, Mufulira Mayor Tanaeli Kamanga, speaking during a stakeholder engagement meeting in Mufulira District, welcomed the initiative and thanked Thlago for choosing the district as its entry point into Zambia.
He said the partnership marks an important step towards promoting a safer and more sustainable industrial environment in the mining town.
