Peter Sinkamba Rejects Expulsion from People’s Pact

By Respite Kaoma,

Green Party leader Peter Sinkamba has dismissed a notice of expulsion issued against him and his party from the People’s Pact, describing it as illegitimate.

Speaking in an interview with Mafken News, Mr. Sinkamba said the notice, allegedly signed by Kaluba Musenda ‘Simuyemba, is false, arguing that the individual is not a recognised spokesperson for the alliance and that no such position exists within its structure.

Mr. Sinkamba maintained that the Green Party, founded in 2011, is a duly registered political entity with an established membership reflected in its official register.

He further urged the public to disregard the statement attributed to Mr. Simuyemba, which claims that the Green Party has been expelled from the People’s Pact, describing it as baseless.

In a statement dated March 25, 2025, Mr. Sinkamba and the Green Party were reportedly expelled from the alliance with immediate effect on allegations of gross misconduct, with a detailed explanation expected to be communicated later.
