United Party for National Development (UPND) Mufulira District Chairperson and Mufulira Central Constituency aspiring candidate, Ackim Mali, has urged parents to stop keeping differently abled children at home and instead enrol them in school.
Mr. Mali said the government’s free education policy provides an opportunity for disadvantaged children in local communities to access education and build a better future.
He made the remarks when he donated 500 books, pens, and pencils to the Kansuswa People Living with Disabilities Association, in a move aimed at supplementing government efforts to promote inclusive education.
Meanwhile, the association’s chairperson, Lazarus Muswema, commended Mr. Mali for the gesture, describing it as timely and supportive to children living with disabilities.
