Mulungushi University Partners with China’s Tsinghua University to Boost Education and Innovation

Mulungushi University is advancing its mandate to contribute to Zambia’s socio-economic transformation through education, research, and innovation following a strategic partnership with China’s Tsinghua University.
The collaboration, anchored within the Belt and Road Initiative framework, is focused on promoting people-to-people exchanges, strengthening education systems, and enhancing innovation.
Through the partnership, the two institutions aim to deepen institutional relations, identify priority areas for joint collaboration—particularly in artificial intelligence and engineering—and position the Zambia-China Belt and Road Innovation Centre (ZBRIC) as a key platform for academic and technological cooperation.
University officials say the initiative is expected to enhance research capacity, knowledge transfer, and innovation outcomes, ultimately supporting national development goals.
