Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo has appealed to residents to refrain from vandalizing water pipes and other infrastructure, citing the negative impact on water supply in communities.
Mr. Matambo emphasized that such acts pose water challenges and urged the water utility company to respond promptly to concerns raised by the public.
The Minister also stressed the importance of government departments settling their bills with utility companies to ensure smooth operations.
He expressed his desire to see efficient service delivery from these companies, saying all stakeholders must play their part in supporting their work.
Mr. Matambo said this during a meeting with water utilities at the Copperbelt Provincial Administration in Ndola, aimed at providing an opportunity for the companies to share their plans, achievements, and challenges in addressing the water supply issues in the province.
