Former ZAMPOST Employees Demand Unpaid Terminal Benefits

By Rogan Labika,

Former employees of the Zambia Postal Services (ZAMPOST) have appealed to President Hakainde Hichilema to ensure their terminal benefits are paid before the dissolution of Parliament.

Geoffrey Handondo, representing the former employees, told Mafken News that the retirees are concerned their payments may be overshadowed by upcoming election preparations.

Mr. Handondo revealed that the National Treasury still owes a balance of K48 million to the retirees.

This follows a previous disbursement by the government, through the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, which released over K50 million as part-payment toward the settlement of the terminal benefits.
