The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has cleared several senior government officials who were under investigation.
Speaking during a media briefing, ACC Director General Daphne Chabu named those cleared as Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo, Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana, and Solicitor General Marshal Muchende.
Ms. Chabu explained that Mr. Muchende had been investigated in 2024 over allegations that he received US$500,000 from former Konkola Copper Mines provisional liquidator Milingo Lungu.
She stated that following investigations, the Commission found no evidence to warrant further action against the named officials.
